For organisations & consultancies

Additional strategic capability, shaped around the problem.

I work with MDs, CEOs and consultancies that need more strategic capacity, perspective or challenge than the team currently has. The shape of that is deliberately not fixed. It depends on the organisation, the context and the level of support required.

01 MDs & CEOs

Strategic advisory and fractional support

A thinking partner with enough range to see across the whole business.

The need might be creating or evolving strategy, making sense of complexity, testing an important direction, joining up parts of the organisation that have drifted apart, or making sure strategic intent is actually reflected in decisions and operations.

Engagements can be project-based, advisory or fractional. What follows is the range of capability I bring, not a list of things every engagement includes:

  • Creating, shaping or evolving strategy
  • Surfacing assumptions and pressure-testing strategic thinking
  • Connecting strategic choices across functions
  • Bringing together brand, market, customer, operations and organisational context
  • Translating strategic direction into operational choices and action
  • Strategic research, challenge and decision support
  • Facilitating strategic conversations with leadership teams

Strategic capability inside your engagements

Additional strategic thinking within a client engagement, without needing to own the client relationship.

I can work alongside an existing team, bringing cross-functional strategic thinking, challenge, research, workshop design or facilitation where it is useful. The value is the ability to see across a business, join the dots and ask the questions that surface assumptions on a complex or ambiguous client problem.

03 Currently bespoke

Built around the organisation in front of me, rather than lifted off a shelf.

Facilitated strategic workshops

I design and facilitate strategic sessions for leadership teams, shaped around the organisation and the decision in front of it.

A wider portfolio of workshops is taking shape, with scenario planning an active part of that work. While it develops, every session is designed for the specific context rather than run to a standard agenda, which for most leadership teams is the more useful arrangement in any case.

Tell me what you are working through and I will tell you whether a session is the right shape for it.

Conversation first.

Enterprise work here is intentionally shaped rather than packaged. The most useful starting point is a description of the problem in front of you.
