What happens to what you send me.
Short version: your enquiry comes to me by email, I use it to reply to you, and it does not go anywhere else.
Who is responsible
Charlotte Drake is the data controller for information submitted through this website. You can reach me at charlotte@charlottedrake.co.uk.
What is collected
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, organisation if you give one, the type of enquiry and your message.
Why
To read your enquiry and reply to it. The lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, together with my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me about my work.
Where it goes
The form is handled by Formspree, a form processing service, which passes your message on to my email and does nothing else with it. From there it is not added to a mailing list, not used for automated marketing, and not sold or shared with anyone. If we go on to work together, our correspondence is kept as an ordinary business record.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within twelve months. Records relating to actual engagements are kept for as long as needed for the work and any legal or accounting obligations that follow it.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Nothing is loaded from a third-party server. The fonts, styles and scripts are all served from this site. Your hosting provider may keep standard server logs.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent at any time. Just email me. If you are not satisfied with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
